How Lord Hanuman Created the Bermuda Triangle
Hey guys. I'm extremely sorry that I didn't post anything last week. I had so much work in school and honestly, I couldn't find any ideal topics other than my translations to post in this blog. But, my doubts have been resolved. I have found a topic that blew my mind away, and will surely blow yours too. I'm also glad to say that I have started to work on my third translation which is under way. It is a really long audio, so it should take a while. But, I just wanted you guys to be updated with my work. From here onwards, every week I'll be posting this type of content. I'll be posting content about interesting Hindu article, works that my dad did, recent news about Mahaperiyava, and all sorts of stuff like that. I'll be giving a concise synopsis of the article in my own words and interpretations that I think connect to the everyday world. With that said, I'll be happy to introduce the article, "How Hanuman Created the Bermuda Triangle."
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a loosely-defined region located east of Florida and in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean. The three veritices that make up the triangle are in Miami, Florida, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and in the island of Bermuda. This geographical location is universally known for a number of aircraft and ships that have said to be disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The rumors that flood the world never have concrete evidences and proofs. That's what makes this site so perplexing. No one knows for sure if the vanishing of these aircrafts and ships are conspiracies or actual myths. But, among these rumors, one story stands out with factual evidence from none other than our Hindu scriptures.
Many people believe that Hanuman had a critical role in the creation of the Bermuda Triangle. Here are the stories, uncovered. The epic "Ramayana" mentions about the Bermuda Triangle twice. The first story reveals the explanations behind the Triangle's alternate name, Devil's Triangle. At one point in Ramayana, Hanuman was sent to rescue Sita from Ravanan, who was residing in Sri Lanka. For this, Hanuman volunteered to fly across the Indian Ocean (specifically the Palk Strait) to go rescue her. In the Indian Ocean, there resided a Demoness named Simhika who was granted the boon of grasping any object, no matter how powerful it may be, towards her by Lord Brahma. She was famously known as Chhayagrahi because she had the mystical power of pulling any object or entity with a glance at the shadow of the object. Her size was large and she was capable of swallowing objects that she can pull towards her. Due to this, no one ever dared to travel passing by her. However, in the Ramayana, it states that as Hanuman flew over the ocean seeking Sita, his speed slowed down and he felt powerless under immense invisible pressure. The floating demoness dragged Hanuman's shadow towards her. Hanuman using his wits, decreased the size of his massive body, entered her mouth, and thus killed her by lacerating her internal organs. In the Puranas, it has been said that the daughter of demoness Simhika feared the act of Lord Hanuman and ran away from the Hindu Maha Samudra (Indian Ocean) to some mysterious place, which apparently is the Bermuda Triangle. Because, the boon given to Simhika passes on to her daughter, it could be that her daughter's power to summon objects by the sight of its shadow still is effective today in the Bermuda Triangle.
The second story talks about the ties between the creation of the Bermuda Triangle and the death of King Ravanan. The second story appears more convincing than the first one because it refers to more scriptures and it's interpretations are very much believable. According to Ramayana, King Ravanan compiled a load of meditation, penance, and austerity towards Lord Shiva that he got several boons which added to his strength to almost make him invincible. He was also gifted with a gem which helped in the regeneration of auspicious nectar at his navel. The gem also gave him powers for him to not be vanquished for as long as it lasted. This made him immortal and no one could kill him unless the gem was taken out of him so that the nectar from the naval could be soaked. Lord Shiva was mindful that Mandodhari, the wife of Ravanan and a prime devotee of Lord Shiva, was informed about the place where Ravan had hidden the mani (gem). So, Lord Shiva took the appearance of a sage and asked for the mani as an offering from Mandodhari. Mandodhari, knowing that the war between Ram and Ravanan will come to an end and that her husband is going to pass away, gave the mani to Lord Shiva as an offering. After this incident, Lord Rama kills Ravanan, the demon king of Sri Lanka, by firing the "Arrow of Brahma" at his navel. This arrow of Brahma was given to Rama by Sage Agastya. This made Ravanan deceased as he fell down to the ground, the nectar of immortality soaked from his navel. According to Shiva Purana and science studies, energy needs to be transferred to another form. It can be hidden within spiritual powers or leashed in any form of matter present in the planet. But it can't be destroyed. So, after the death of Ravanan, it became critical that the gem be placed in an area that absorbs its energy and uncontrollable power. The Shiva Purana states that the gem had so much potent that its existence could impact future generations. The task was given to Lord Hanuman to place the mani to the very depth (core) of the ocean bed so that its impact could be minimized and diluted. The mani was apparently placed in the deepest core of the ocean of that time which today is the Bermuda Triangle.
The science behind this story makes us believe that the colossal grabbing power of mani is probably the main reason that pulls down the objects flowing or floating in a fair distance within the Bermuda Triangle. Also, because the energy couldn't be destroyed, it makes us believe that the energy from the mani is still impactful today. Both these stories seem awfully convincing, but we still don't know if its still one of those rumors or if its the truth. These types of mysteries are always very enthralling and "bloggable" if you know what I mean.
